We all know Twickenham Stadium as the 'Home of England Rugby', an iconic sporting venue that's seen some historic sporting moments. But, Twickenham has another side that makes it a versatile events venue, so we've rounded up a few reasons why it's the perfect place for your next event.
1. It has a secret...
...And it's pretty incredible. Concealed deep within the West Stand, The Cellar is probably the venue's best-kept secret. You'll feel very far removed from the rest of the stadium, with Champagne and canapes, a seven-course tasting menu and fine wines on offer. The intimate room is beautifully lit, decorated with impressive furniture and wine bottles covering the walls. It's hosted some pretty impressive names (check out the guestbook) and makes for a unique private dining experience.
2. You can soak up the sunshine pitch-side
The Player's Tunnel and Pitch-Side are usually associated with the tense build-up before a match, but the impressive walk out onto the hallowed pitch can also be used for events. Whether it's a drinks reception in the Player's Tunnel or incorporating the pitch into your wedding photographs, it's one impressive piece of outside space.
This summer you can also enjoy a pitch-side soiree with food choices from a brand new BBQ menu that includes delicious delights such as dry rubbed charred chicken wings, molasses and tomato marinated pork ribs, and mustard and sage grilled cauliflower.
3. It's state-of-the-art
The Live Room is Twickenham Stadium's state-of-the-art auditorium. The space makes for a perfect venue for a conference, product launch or presentation but also has the capacity for a seated dinner with the option for a dance floor and stage. The room has full audio-visual equipment and ground floor loading that can even fit a car (of course) making this one of its most flexible and impressive event spaces.
4. You can dine in the England Changing Rooms
Banquets and changing rooms aren't usually something you'd put in the same sentence but Twickenham like to keep things interesting. Sans rugby players (sorry), The England Changing Rooms are an exclusive space for dining for up to 55 people. You can combine it with a pre-dinner drinks reception in the Player's Tunnel or pitch-side, for a truly rugby-filled evening.
5. It has 25 event spaces over 7,000 sqm
The 25 spaces have been specifically designed with the flexibility to accommodate any style of event for 10-1200 delegates from large conferences to more intimate dinners or large award ceremonies.
There's also 150 executive meeting rooms, each with a view of the famous playing field, for the perfect offsite meeting, client interview or even training sessions.
The possibilities are pretty much endless at Twickenham so if you'd like to see a full list of spaces and event options, click here.
