Now that we have a date in the diary for conferences restarting, you can go ahead and book in a conference venue fitting for the occasion. And after the 18 months we've had, we bet a venue where your delegates can unwind and let their hair down will be top of your priority list!
If that’s the case, you can’t get much better than Lumiere Underwood. This creative space is bold, bright and undeniably stylish. But it’s also amazingly relaxed, giving everyone the chance to truly chill once the stressful months of lockdown have become a distant memory.
A photographer’s dream
Lumiere London was founded by acclaimed fashion photographer Carlos Lumiere along with his husband Stephan Trockle in 2007.
What started life as Carlos’ photography studio soon became an event space used by third parties for filming, photography and corporate events, thanks to Carlos’ impressive eye for light, creative decor and interior design. In fact, there was so much demand that there are now five Lumiere studios in London!
Lumiere Underwood is arguably the biggest and boldest yet, with two studios joined together by a phenomenal breakout space. Not only is it an innately creative venue guaranteed to bring some out-of-the-box thinking to any conference, but it’s also the ideal backdrop for those essential photos and videos. Whether you’re looking to record the speaker sessions or snap images of delegates networking, you can’t get any better than a real-life photography studio!
Lovingly laid-back
One of our favourite things about Lumiere Underwood is its impressively laid-back vibe. Yes, it’s bold, it’s bright and it’s wow-worthy. But just look at those comfy sofas, rugs and lamps. This is the perfect place for your delegates to unwind after what’s been a stressful year!
There’s the colourful wallpaper and homely kitchen of The New Victorian Loft – if you’re thinking what we’re thinking, why not let your delegates help themselves to whatever’s in the cupboards to capitalise on the relaxed vibe?! Or, there’s the bright white walls, large windows and mirrors of The New White Loft – the most light and airy conference space we can think of!
These two spectacular loft spaces are connected by the cosy Chalet with its squishy sofas and warm wood panelling effect. Hire it together with either one of the studios, or go for exclusive whole venue hire. Either way, it’ll provide a brilliant breakout space for delegates to catch up face-to-face, unwind and chill.
A stellar location
You can’t separate the arts from East London, so it’s no surprise that Lumiere Underwood is located in one of the artsiest parts of the capital. Just a 7-minute walk from Old Street station, it’s accessible by the Northern Line and by National Rail, making it super easy to reach from anywhere in the city.
Not only that, but Old Street is jam-packed with cool and edgy places to explore. Just a short walk from Hoxton and Shoreditch, it’s crawling with trendy bars, cafes, theatres and shops. So, it’s perfectly placed for any delegates looking to make a day of it and capitalise on the newly reopened amenities that Old Street has to offer.
