Host A Gold Medal Conference At London Stadium

There aren't many conference venues where you can walk through halls graced by Usain Bolt, or look out at a track used by Mo Farah. Then again, there aren't many conference venues like the iconic London Stadium, home of the 2012 Olympics, and recently refurbished to provide incredible business facilities.

London Stadium is home to some of the best event spaces in London, and for a stylish conference with impressive spaces, it's a tough one to beat. Here are our recommendations for putting your conference on the podium!

Make your way to the start

London Stadium has some of the best transport links in London, with Stratford station and Stratford International station just a stone’s throw away. It’s served by nine tube and train links (including the tube, DLR and Overground), it’s less than 40 minutes from all of London’s major railway stations and it’s just a short train ride away from many of London’s international airports!

So, we’re certainly not exaggerating when we say that it’s one of the easiest venues to get to in London. Whether your delegates are coming from the other side of the city, the country or even the world, transport’s certainly not going to get in the way of your delegates’ RSVP.

Start the day with coffee in The Academy

The first hurdle of a conference is getting attendees interacting, and it's important that you break the ice from the start of the day. Luckily, you'll find an ideal reception and lounge space for welcoming and registering your guests in the stunning Academy, where you can serve up a great first impression for your guests with coffee, tea, and a continental breakfast to fuel them up for your content. Comfortable seating, space to mill around, and interesting decor make this an ideal setting for easing delegates into the day.

Kick off the action in The Great Briton

Just next door to the Academy, The Great Briton is the perfect stage for your keynote sessions, with flexible layouts, high ceilings, and stylish lighting. And thanks to its recent refurbishment, London Stadium doesn't hold back when it comes to tech and conference facilities. Featuring all the LCD screens, state-of-the-art sound systems, and AV you could ask for in a conference space, the facilities at this venue really do push it way ahead of the pack.

It's not short on the added extras which take a good venue to a great one, either, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around balcony with views across the skyline to the City. Whatever your content, keeping guests inspired shouldn't be hard in this light and airy space! The spaces on offer range in capacity from 16 to 1,000, so whatever the size, style and budget of your conference, you’ll be right at home here.

Grab a bite to eat in one of the venue's many catering spaces

After a couple of conference sessions, your attendees are sure to have worked up an appetite (despite not having made it onto the track yet!). Luckily, London Stadium has multiple stunning spaces to provide excellent catering, ranging from dining rooms with tables for sit-down meals, like The Forge, to open-plan reception and buffet areas, like The Londoners, serving street food fare including football classic - pies. While you're in the footsteps of athletes, you may as well eat like one, we say!

Take a tour of the iconic stadium

Even the most hard-to-please delegates are sure to be interested in this impressive venue - if the luxurious decor of the interior isn't enough to blow them away, the sheer scale of the stadium will! Why not take a quick tour of the venue to give your guests a chance to snap a shot of themselves in the footsteps of their heroes? From the BM6 Room, inspired by legend Bobby Moore, to the Royal Box, there are plenty of backdrops to pap - make sure they tag your company in their posts to bag some bonus brand exposure!

Wrap up with a drink or two to celebrate a successful day

We all know the best way to end a conference is with a final socialising session, so giving guests a chance to network and enjoy a drink together comes highly recommended! And with the stylish spaces on offer for a post-event drink, we're confident that getting your delegates to stick around will be a walk in the park. Set up a stylish reception in The Arnold Hills event space, or ramp the fun up a level with a casual catch-up in the Boleyn sports bar, complete with images of sporting icons and surrounded by the venue's signature colours.
