Alexandra Palace's hugely popular Street Food & Craft Beer Festival has returned for a run of weekends throughout Summer 2017. The festival has been a popular staple at the iconic venue in past years, celebrating the best in all aspects of street culture, from food to music to art. It's due to this celebration that its new name, StrEATlife, is extremely fitting.
Set amongst 196 acres of parkland with views of the city, the festival takes place in one of the most impressive terraces in London. Festival-goers can look forward to a host of premium street food traders offering a huge range of delicious treats for even the most discerning foodies, all washed down with a tasty craft beer or a cocktail.
Savour some fried chicken at the Mother Cluckers stall, enjoy a taste of the East at Hanoi Kitchen, be inspired by the French-American fusion at Le Bun, or perhaps dig into the best of crustacean cookery at Claw. And these are just to name a few.
On the tipple side, a host of different craft and cask beers will be available from some of the best local and international breweries, and for those who aren't beer fans, there will be tropical cocktails to sample and of course the British summer party staple of Pimms.
The party will continue well into the evening with a full line-up of musical talent. On Saturdays, live music will entertain guests, while Sundays will see DJ sets complement the festivities. On both days, there will also be impressive visual street art so that crowds can be wowed visually as well as musically.
StrEATlife opened on the bank holiday weekend at the end of May to huge crowds, and will be returning three more times, once in each summer month: 17-18 June, 22-23 July and 19-20 August.
A Grade-II, listed Victorian building, Alexandra Palace is an award-winning and multipurpose venue. The terrace and garden areas where the festival takes place are surrounded by an oasis of green and are available for private hire, creating an excellent spot for summer parties, BBQs and team building.
